Dalmatians can do a lot more than looking good...

In Germany it is unfortunately not very common to use the Dalmatin for sports or other activities. Although the breed is very versatile and in other countries they are used from field trials with horses over coaching, Dog Dancing and Obedience to "weight pulling"and dock diving. Also as rescue dogs, for hunting, retrieving and tracking or several other fields of activities the owners can count on their Dalmatians, who are having lots of fun with that. Dalmatians can also be found as therapy dogs.

As we are very pleased to hear of such results and successes also, here are some impressions.

We are especially proud of Azim (Assiduitas Silenzio), who does not care about being deaf! He performed with excellence as a mantrailing dog from a very young age on, passing several tests in obedience, too, even better than several Malinois. He is now "working" as a rescue dog!
We are thrilled how his owner supported him with his talents and showed everybody, that also a deaf dog can be not only a great companion but also a smart chap when it comes to working.
He lives with another deaf Dalmatian female and both dogs are an easygoing, obedient couple with a great will to please - several hearing dogs could not easily hold a candle to those two.
